The plan points out that the high-end manufacturing industry in Guangdong and even the whole country is facing the problem of "lack of core and less core", and the plan describes the detailed "Guangdong path" of "strong core action". The layout of semiconductor and integrated circuit industry covers the whole chain, including chip design and underlying tool software, chip manufacturing, packaging compound semiconductor, materials and key components, special equipment and parts.
The plan points out that in terms of design, Guangzhou will focus on the development of intelligent sensors, RF filters and third-generation semiconductors, and build a comprehensive integrated circuit industry cluster; In terms of chip manufacturing, Guangzhou takes the silicon-based characteristic process wafer foundry line as the core, and plans to build a 12 inch integrated circuit manufacturing line; Guangzhou develops device level, wafer level MEMS packaging and system level testing technology; Relying on Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities, vigorously develop the manufacturing of third-generation semiconductor materials such as silicon carbide, build a new electronic component industry cluster, promote electronic component enterprises and complete machine factories to jointly tackle key technical problems, and jointly build high-end components and printed circuit board production lines. It can be seen that Guangzhou has high hopes for the development of semiconductor and integrated circuit industry.
